The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported that Zeynab Youssefpour, Sofi Rostami and their daughter Shilan Rostami were arrested on the afternoon of 18 December when dozens of armed agents stormed their home in Urmia.
The detainees were taken to an undisclosed location, and their current whereabouts remain unknown.
A source in Urmia told KHRN that, “The arrests were carried out without presenting a judicial warrant and were accompanied by intimidation and fear. Since their detention, these citizens have been denied access to a lawyer and family visits, and there is no information about their place of detention”.
Fattah Youssefpour, the brother of Zeynab Youssefpour, had previously been arrested by Ministry of Intelligence forces in Bukan, West Azerbaijan Province, on 28 October, and was provisionally released from Bukan Prison on bail after spending three weeks in custody.
