In Villiers Le Bel and Drancy, two districts of the French capital Paris, preparations are underway for the mass commemoration on 23 December 23 for Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan, and Leyla Şaylemez, who were murdered in Paris in 2013, as well as Evin Goyi, Mir Perwer, and Abdurrahman Kızıl, who were killed on 23 December 2022.
As part of these preparations, home and shop visits are being carried out in both areas, and calls to participate in the commemoration are being made at weddings and similar social events.
The preparations for the 23 December commemoration are being led by the women’s councils and carried out by regional councils. During the work, the reasons behind the two separate massacres committed in Paris are discussed, and attention is drawn to why the commemorations, central march, and rallies must be embraced on a mass scale.
It was emphasized that preparations for the commemoration, which will take place at 19:00 on 23 December in the Espace Venüs hall in Sarcelles, will intensify until the day of the event.
