Annual memorials, commemorations and protest actions are organized to pay tribute to Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan, and Leyla Şaylemez, who were assassinated in Paris on 9 January 2013, and for Evîn Goyî, Mir Perwer, and Abdurrahman Kızıl, who were assassinated on 23 December 2022.
Preparations have begun for the various events, which will be held this year under the slogan “Truth for Justice.” As a first step, a mass commemoration ceremony will be organized on 23 December, the 3rd anniversary of the second Paris massacre, at the Venüs Espace Hall in the town of Sarcelles, Paris.
Within this framework, TEV-ÇAND Paris members gathered at the Ahmet Kaya Kurdish Cultural Center and issued a call to participate in the actions.
In the statement, emphasis was placed on the importance of the public and supportive circles taking ownership of this year’s actions in order to commemorate those who were killed and to legally expose the perpetrators of the massacres and hold them accountable.
