According to the Afrin-Syria Human Rights Organization, mercenaries affiliated with the Turkish state abducted a young man named Ehmed Xalid Welo (24) in the village of Nêrebiyê, Shehba, on December 12, 2025.
The organization reported that Ehmed was tortured while inquiring about the fate of his father, Xalid Welo, and his uncle, Ziyad Welo, who had previously been abducted by the same mercenaries, and was subsequently abducted himself.
There is no information available so far about the fate of Ehmed Xalid Welo.
Ehmed’s father Xalid Welo (45) and his uncle Ziyad Welo (39) were also abducted by the same mercenaries on December 11, 2025, and their fate is still unknown.
