The Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) is holding the “International Conference on Peace and Democratic Society” at the Cem Karaca Cultural Center in Bakırköy, Istanbul.
During the two-day conference, numerous national and international politicians, legal experts, and activists will discuss the Peace and Democratic Society process initiated by Abdullah Öcalan on February 27, along with global experiences.
The opening speech of the conference will be delivered by DEM Party co-chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan.
This will be followed by speeches from Veysi Aktaş, who was held together with Abdullah Öcalan in Imralı prison Island, and Ilham Ehmed, co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.
The conference will be broadcast on the DEM Party YouTube channel.
