ISIS flags in the streets of Homs

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that a group of 13 motorcyclists carrying ISIS flags were seen in the villages of Enar and Hewash in Homs yesterday evening. It is believed that the group supports the Syrian Transitional Government, SOHR noted.

According to the observatory, the group stopped near the Mar Elias Church in Hewash, where Christmas tree decorations were being put up, and group members shouted “Allahu Akbar” slogans and used profanity.

The incident caused fear among the local population. This morning, there were attempts to force villagers to participate in marches in support of the Transitional Government, but local residents refused to join the marches despite pressure and threats.
