PUK Political Bureau Member Saadi Ahmed Pîre reiterated his party’s support for Rojava and all Kurdish political sides, saying that Kurds in the disputed regions must participate in the Iraqi parliamentary elections with a single list.
Speaking to his party’s media outlets, Pîre said, “As PUK, we stand with Rojava and all Kurdish sides; we support them.”
Touching on the election process in Iraq, Pîre said: “In the disputed regions, Kurds needed to enter the elections with a single list. Kurdish unity is of vital importance for political gains.”
Saadi Ahmed Pîre emphasized that political cooperation among Kurds must be strengthened, and added: “We want genuine and equal partnership in government.”
Meanwhile, although more than a year has passed since parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region, a government has still not been formed.
