The Office of the Speaker of Parliament decided that the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission will go to Imrali to meet with Abdullah Öcalan, following a vote in which the Commission secured the required three-fifths qualified majority.
Yesterday, the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) announced that if the visit takes place, their Parliamentary Group Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit would join the delegation. MHP Deputy Chair Feti Yıldız had also stated before the Commission meeting that he would be part of the delegation.
The AKP has now announced that its Deputy Chair, Hüseyin Yayman, will go to Imrali.
