The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria neutralized an ISIS cell identified as being involved in attacks against security and military forces in the region.
According to reports, the cell was made up of Bêşar Hemed Xelîfe and Hatim Îd El Casim from the city of Hesekê in the Cizir Canton.
The two mercenaries admitted during questioning that they had carried out attacks on vehicles, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and Internal Security Forces in the region.
The cell was established by a person named Qezafî, who resides in Damascus and is known by the code name “Ebu Muemer.” Reports say that Qezafî directed the cell in connection with a person known as “Ebu Esed El Xelîzî,” who is located in Serêkaniyê, which is under the occupation of the Turkish state and affiliated mercenaries.
It was stated that Ebu Esed El Xelîzî was the ringleader of ISIS cells operating in the region and had recently provided the cell with weapons, mines, money, and target coordinates.
