On Saturday, 22 November, in Bonn, the Peace Research Association (QAD) will hold a conference titled “Shaping Coexistence: The Peace Process in Turkey and Future Perspectives.”
DEM MP and member of the Imrali Delegation Mithat Sancar, HDP Honorary Chair Ertuğrul Kürkçü, lecturer Prof. Dr. Hamit Bozarslan, Dr. Naif Bezwan, DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan, Dr. Özgür Sevgi Göral, Dr. Yahya Madra, Prof. Dr. Hans-Lukas Kieser, journalists Selahattin Soro and Şehbal Şenyurt Arınlı will participate as speakers.
The conference, where messages from imprisoned politicians Selahattin Demirtaş and Selçuk Mızraklı will also be read, will last all day.
The conference will include discussions on “internal and external factors shaping the construction of a democratic life,” “risks and opportunities in building democratic coexistence,” and “the responsibilities of democratic institutions in constructing coexistence.”
There will be simultaneous translation in Kurdish, Turkish, and German.
