Thousands of drug pills seized in Euphrates and Raqqa cantons

The Anti-Drug Units affiliated with the Euphrates Canton Internal Security Forces announced that a group of drug dealers had been arrested based on information regarding theft and drug use reported to them by the Sirîn City Complaints Office on November 4.

The Anti-Drug Forces, in cooperation with the General Prosecutor’s Office, conducted a search and investigation by setting up a patrol. As a result of the investigation, the criminals were arrested, the drugs in their possession were seized, and a stolen laptop and money were confiscated.

The operation forces announced that they will continue their efforts to apprehend drug distributors and users in order to ensure public safety.

The Raqqa Canton Anti-Drug Forces announced that thousands of drug pills were seized from a warehouse during an operation conducted on November 9.

During the operation, 35,882 drug pills (103 Captagon, 35,779 various synthetic pills, crystal meth, and hashish) and 905 doses of drugs prepared for use were seized. The operation forces also seized weapons, laboratory equipment, drug paraphernalia, counterfeit money, various electronic devices, and phones used for drug sales.

The Anti-Drug Forces stated that the operation was carried out as part of efforts to dismantle smuggling and drug networks, adding that investigations are ongoing and the suspects will later be referred to the General Prosecutor’s Office.
