Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş met with the political party coordinators of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission established in Parliament as part of the Peace and Democratic Society process.
The meeting in Parliament was attended by AKP Group Chairman Abdulhamit Gül, People’s Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Group Deputy Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, CHP Group Deputy Chair Murat Emir, Yeni Yol (New Path) Group Chairman Bülent Kaya, and MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız.
The Commission decided to postpone tomorrow’s meeting, which was scheduled to discuss a possible visit to Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı Island Prison.
According to reports, the meeting was postponed because Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that he would be unable to attend due to his overseas schedule.
