SDF dismantles ISIS cell in a precise operation north of Raqqa

As part of ongoing national mission to protect the regions of North and East Syria from the threat of terrorism, the Syrian Democratic Forces’ Military Operations Teams (TOL) and Commando Forces, with direct support from the International Coalition, carried out a precise and high-level operation at dawn today targeting a hideout of an ISIS terrorist cell in the town of Tal al-Saman, north of Raqqa.

According to SDF Media Center, the operation followed extensive intelligence monitoring of the cell’s movements, communications, and preparations to launch new attacks against their forces and civil institutions. Based on confirmed information, SDF units conducted a highly accurate, simultaneous raid with aerial support and reconnaissance provided by the International Coalition.

“The operation resulted in the capture of five ISIS terrorists, including three senior leaders involved in planning and carrying out terrorist attacks against our military points and institutions of the Autonomous Administration. These individuals were actively working to spread chaos and destabilize the region,” SDF said.

The statement continued, “This successful operation is the outcome of coordinated and joint efforts between our field units, security and intelligence services, and the constructive cooperation with the International Coalition, which provided full support in terms of air cover and intelligence, key factors in achieving this important result.”

The Syrian Democratic Forces expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to the International Coalition for its continued cooperation and effective support in the fight against ISIS. It affirmed that this ongoing coordination is a fundamental pillar in ensuring the security and stability of the region.

“We also assure our people that our campaign against ISIS sleeper cells will continue relentlessly. We will pursue anyone who attempts to threaten the safety and stability of our areas until they are completely eliminated.”

The statement concluded: “Any terrorist cell that seeks to endanger civilians or undermine the security of our regions will be a direct target for our forces. We will not allow the return of terrorism or chaos, and those who contemplate criminal acts should know that there will be no safe haven for them in North and East Syria.”
