The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported, citing a source from the Syrian Ministry of Defense, that two soldiers were killed and a third was injured due to an alleged attack carried out by the Syrian Democratic Forces near a military position by Tishreen Dam in rural Aleppo.
The Syrian Democratic Forces categorically affirmed that this information is incorrect, and that their forces did not carry out any attack in the mentioned area.
“According to the field data available to us, the incident resulted from landmine explosions in the vicinity of the Syrian government military position, and our forces had no involvement in it, said the SDF Media Center.
The SDF reaffirmed their commitment to the principle of de-escalation and maintaining stability along the contact lines, and to continuing their national efforts to confront threats that endanger the security and safety of residents from all components.
The Syrian Democratic Forces called on media outlets to verify information, rely on credible sources, and refrain from circulating inaccurate narratives that may contribute to tension or mislead public opinion.
