Turkish soldiers kill a Syrian youngster, injure another in Serêkaniyê countryside

A young man was shot dead and another was injured by Turkish gendarmerie (military police) in eastern Serêkaniyê (Ras al-Ain) countryside north of Heseke while trying to cross towards Turkey.

According to SOHR, the victim came from Gharanij town in eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside. He was directly shot after being abandoned by the smugglers of “Jaish Al-Islam” faction of the Turkish-backed “National Army”, while trying to cross the border.

On October 5, Turkish Gendarmerie assaulted six young men while trying to enter Turkish territory from the side of Salib Village in western Gire Spi (Tal Abyad) countryside.

Two young men were reported missing while four others were tortured by members of the Turkish Gendarmerie, before being robbed of their money and phones and being expelled outside Turkish borders.
