The DEM Party is preparing for a large public meeting in Esenyurt, Istanbul, tomorrow, 25 October. Organized under the slogan “United Struggle for Bread, Peace, Justice, and Freedom,” the event will be attended by EMEP, EHP, SMF, TİP, and TÖP.
The DEM Party continues its organizing efforts across all districts of Istanbul in preparation for the event.
Calling on all segments of society to join the gathering, DEM Party Istanbul co-chair Arife Çınar stated that their goal is to hold a people’s meeting that will bring together all communities and identities tomorrow.
She said, “Istanbul is a city where women and workers are highly concentrated and yet exploited the most. The inequality, poverty, and injustice caused by state policies must be eliminated. To oppose this injustice, poverty, and inequality, we will hold a rally on 25 October where all socialists of Turkey, people of different identities, and the Kurdish people will come together in solidarity.”
