Two SDF fighters martyred in landmine explosion in Deir ez-Zor countryside

In the village of Al-Hisan, in the Al-Kasra area of the western Deir ez-Zor countryside, a landmine planted by ISIS cells exploded, targeting a vehicle belonging to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The explosion resulted in the martyrdom of two fighters and the injury of three others.

“This cowardly and criminal act is part of the terrorist organization’s ongoing attempts to undermine civil peace and stability in the region. Our forces have launched extensive combing operations in the area of the explosion to track down the terrorist cells responsible for this treacherous attack,” said the SDF Media Center.

SDF reaffirmed their commitment to continuing operations against ISIS members and sleeper cells, and stressed that they would spare no effort in pursuing these terrorists until all their material, moral, and logistical resources were eliminated.
