Iraqi National Security Advisor: Hol Camp poses a threat to the entire region and the world

The Iraqi National Security Press Office issued a statement regarding the meeting between German Ambassador to Iraq Daniel Krebber and Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji.

According to the statement, Qasim al-Araji welcomed the German Ambassador to Iraq in Baghdad and the meeting addressed relations between Iraq and Germany.

During the meeting, which also addressed the Hol Camp in the city of Hesekê in Rojava, al-Araji reportedly called for the evacuation of the Hol Camp, emphasizing that it poses a major “security threat” and is a “source of humanitarian crises” for the entire region and the world.

The Hol Camp, considered one of the world’s most dangerous camps, has long been home to the families of ISIS militants. The Hol Camp houses 13,000 Iraqis, 15,000 Syrians, and 6,385 families of ISIS members.
