The Aleppo Internal Security Forces issued a statement regarding the attack carried out by groups affiliated with the Transitional Government on a joint checkpoint operated by the Internal Security Forces and Transitional Government forces at the Shihan Intersection in the Ashrafiya neighborhood of Aleppo.
The Internal Security Forces condemned the armed attack, which left two of their members seriously injured.
“They are currently receiving treatment at the hospital. At the same time, necessary measures have been taken to prevent the spread of the conflict,” it said.
The Aleppo Internal Security Forces stated that the attack was carried out in the context of ongoing violations by the Syrian Transitional Government, adding, “Such attacks undermine efforts to ensure stability and security in the region.”
“Those who carried out the attack bear full legal and moral responsibility for the incident,” the statement added.
