According to sources in the region, around 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, a Turkish Akıncı drone conducting a reconnaissance flight over Qandil was brought down.
Fragments from the wreckage reportedly bore the inscription “Kemal Atatürk.” The drone is said to have crashed near the villages of Pirdeşal and Zergelê, in the Qandil area.
So far, neither the guerrilla forces nor the Turkish army have issued an official statement on the incident.
