According to reports in Iraqi media, Sefa Meshhedani, a member of the Baghdad Provincial Council who ran in Iraq’s 6th parliamentary elections as a candidate of the Sovereignty Alliance (Siyada) led by Khamis al-Khanjar, was killed in the Tarmiyah region, north of Baghdad.
It was reported that Meshhedani died when a bomb placed under his car exploded.
Meshhedani, who was currently serving as a member of the Baghdad Provincial Council, was running in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for 11 November on the alliance list led by Khamis al-Khanjar.
