On Sunday, PJAK (Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan) met with the Secretary General and senior officials of Komeleya Zehmetkêşan a Kurdistanê (Organization of Kurdistan Workers) at the organization’s Foreign Relations Center.
The PJAK delegation included co-chair Emîr Kerîmî, Deputy Co-Chair Gulan Fehîm, Head of Foreign Relations Ehven Çiyako, and Foreign Relations Committee member Rêbwar Dilxwaz. They were received by Komeleya Zehmetkêşan’s Secretary General Hawrê Reza Keebî, Board Member Newîd Mêhrawer, Central Committee members Pirşeng Mihemedî, Mehweş Hemîdî, and Welî Rûstemî, along with Foreign Relations Committee Head Karwan Îwer.
According to the statement released about the meeting, discussions covered the situation in the four parts of Kurdistan and the Middle East, developments following Hamas’s October 7 attack, the 12-day war between Israel and Iran, the consequences of these events, and how the Kurdish people are assessing these developments.
The meeting also addressed bilateral relations, cooperation and coordination, issues faced by women, environmental concerns, and dialogue among the seven political parties in Eastern Kurdistan. Both sides reportedly expressed a shared understanding on these matters.
Finally, both delegations emphasized the importance of strengthening friendly relations.
