164 people executed in Iran in 20 days

The “No to Execution on Tuesdays” Campaign against the death penalty in Eastern Kurdistan and Iran, issued a statement in its 90th week.

Reporting that the transfer of prisoners from Qarchak Prison to Evin Prison is ongoing, the campaign noted that prisoners were subjected to violence during the transfer.

“Women protesting the murder of Sumayya Rashid were deprived of their basic needs and are in very poor condition. This is a human rights violation,” it said.

The statement also announced that 164 people had been executed in Iran and Eastern Kurdistan over the past 20 days.

The campaign called on the international community to take action against increasingly ongoing executions.
