Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), sent a congratulatory message to the Yazidis on the occasion of Jama Day.
The message reads as follows:
“On the occasion of the Jama Day, I extend my warmest congratulations and heartfelt wishes to my Yazidi brothers and sisters, hoping that they celebrate this holiday in an atmosphere of peace and happiness.
As we have consistently affirmed, we will continue to support and defend the rights of the Yazidi community and work towards improving conditions in Shingal, while ensuring that those displaced are able to return safely to their homes.
The PUK remains steadfastly at your side and regards serving you as a solemn duty.
