The traditional Long March, organized every year, will this year take place under the slogan “March for Freedom and Democracy.”
The march will be held in Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) state, with young people expected to join from several European countries, including Germany, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
Freedom marchers will gather in Cologne on 9 September. The march will begin in Cologne on 10 September, continue in Düsseldorf on 11 September, and proceed in Dortmund on 12 September. On 13 September, participants will take part in the Kurdistan Cultural Festival in Dortmund.
The preparation committee announced the starting points of the march for each city:

– 11.09.2025 / 09:00 – Second day: Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 34-38, 40210 Düsseldorf
– 12.09.2025 / 09:00 – Third day: Katharinenstraße 14, 44137 Dortmund
– 13.09.2025 / 10:00 – International Kurdish Cultural Festival: Remydamm / Victor-Toyka-Str. 44139 Dortmund (Parking lot E1/E2)
