The fourth phase of the “Humanitarian and Security Operation,” initiated on Friday by the Internal Security Forces, Internal Security Forces-Women, Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) with the support of the International Coalition, is ongoing in and around al-Hol Camp in the southern countryside of Hesekê city, in the Cizîre Canton.
Search operations are being conducted throughout the camp, with particular focus on the “Muhacirat” section, where foreign ISIS women and children are located.
Attacks by ISIS cells in the camp have recently increased, with more than thirty assaults on humanitarian workers, sabotage of buildings and service facilities, endangering thousands of civilians, and obstructing aid and stabilization efforts.
