The Internal Security Forces of Northern and Eastern Syria launched a security operation in al-Hol Camp, early on Friday morning. The operation also involves the SDF, YPG, and YPJ, and is part of ongoing efforts in the area to counter the ISIS threat.
Al-Hol Camp, considered one of the most dangerous camps in the world, has long housed the families of ISIS fighters.
The Turkish state frequently targets the area around the camp, threatening its security. As ISIS cells continually try to regroup and organize inside the camp, security forces carry out regular operations to maintain order.
The Internal Security Forces are expected to issue a detailed statement about the operation in the coming hours.
