The Dicle Fırat Journalists’ Association (DFG) has called for those who attacked journalist Hêmin Mamend and the dark forces behind the assault to be exposed.
The journalist Hêmin Mamend was subjected to an armed attack in Sulaymaniyah.
In a statement published on its social media account, the association said: “We condemn this attack on our colleague, and demand that the attackers and the dark forces linked to the assault be uncovered. In the past, many of our colleagues in Sulaymaniyah have been murdered as a result of similar armed attacks. We do not accept these attacks against journalists and will continue to hold those responsible to account.”
