HPG: Turkey’s attacks against guerrilla areas continue

The Media and Communication Center of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) reported that Turkey’s attacks on the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) continue.

According to the HPG statement on Sunday, guerrilla areas were repeatedly bombed by Turkish occupation forces in August.

Details of the Turkish attacks on guerrilla areas between August 8 and 31 are as follows:

– On August 8, the Serê Metîna Resistance Area in the Metîna region was bombed four times with heavy weapons.

– On August 9, occupying forces attempted to establish new positions in the same region and attacked the guerrilla tunnel systems with heavy weapons, facing response with military technology.

– On August 11, the Deşta Kafya area in the Garê region was bombed five times with heavy weapons.

– On August 18 and 19, the Girê Bahar Resistance Area in the Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region was bombed three times with heavy weapons.

– Between August 8 and 31, intensive reconnaissance activities were carried out by drones, UAVs, and UCAVs over Zap, Metîna, Xakurkê, Garê, and Qandil regions.
