Hundreds of people in Sweida took to the streets demanding the right to self-determination for the Druze community. Protesters also called for the immediate withdrawal of Syrian government forces from the area.
Mass demonstrations were held in the Shahba district and at Al-Karama Square in the city center, with participants carrying banners and posters demanding self-determination and the removal of Damascus-backed forces.
With participation from various segments of society, demonstrators emphasized that “the people have the right to decide their own political future.”
