39 ISIS members arrested in large-scale operation in Hesekê

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria, and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) launched a large-scale security sweep campaign targeting the hideouts and cells of the ISIS terrorist organization in the city of Heseke and its surrounding areas. Military operations teams (TOL) are also participating in the campaign, providing intelligence support to ensure precision in targeting terrorist cells and safeguarding civilians.

The objectives of the campaign are to pursue the remnants of ISIS and its sleeper and active cells that endanger civilian lives; dismantle logistical support networks; and prevent potential plans by the terrorist organization to attack prisons and detention facilities.

According to the SDF reports via Telegram, 39 ISIS members were arrested and large quantities of weapons and ammunition were seized during the operations, which are currently continuing.
