Last night, commando units of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council dismantled a dangerous ISIS terrorist cell in the town of Dhiban, Deir ez-Zor’s eastern countryside.
According to the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) statement on Friday, the operation followed precise surveillance and monitoring carried out by the security forces, which led to identifying the hideout of the terrorist cell. The location was raided and two terrorists from the cell were captured.
SDF stated that the two captured terrorists had participated in attacks on several military points in the area and were directly involved in targeting Deir ez-Zor Military Council points in the same town.
During the operation, quantities of weapons and ammunition were seized from the terrorists, which are as follows: 5 AK-47 rifles, 23 AK-47 ammunition magazines, 4 military quivers, 600 AK-47 rounds.
“Our forces affirm that they will continue their security and military operations to eradicate terrorist cells and prevent any destabilization of the region,” underlined the SDF statement.
