DEM Party delegation returns from Imrali

The DEM Party Imralı Delegation, consisting of Van MP Pervin Buldan, Urfa MP Mithat Sancar, and Asrın Law Office lawyer Faik Özgür Erol, met with Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan today.

Following the meeting, which lasted four hours, the delegation has returned from Imralı. The delegation is expected to make a statement tomorrow morning.

The Imrali Delegation, which included Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan, first met with Abdullah Öcalan on December 28, 2024. The delegation’s second meeting took place on January 22.

On February 27, delegation members Pervin Buldan and Sirri Süreyya Onder, along with DEM Party Co-Chairs Tuncer Bakirhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları, politician Ahmet Türk, DEM Party MP Cengiz Çiçek, and Asrin Law Office lawyer Faik Özgür Erol, met with Abdullah Öcalan. During this meeting, Öcalan made his historic Call for Peace and a Democratic Society.

On April 21, while Sırrı Süreyya Önder was undergoing treatment following a heart attack, Pervin Buldan and Faik Özgür Erol met with Abdullah Öcalan once again. Pervin Buldan and Faik Özgür Erol from the Imrali Delegation held another new meeting with the Kurdish leader Öcalan on May 18, following the historic congress held by the PKK on May 5-7.

The Imrali Delegation, made up of Pervin Buldan, Faik Özgür Erol, and DEM Party Urfa Deputy Mithat Sancar, traveled to the island on July 6 for another meeting. The Imrali Delegation held its last meeting on July 25.
