State television affiliated with the interim HTS (Hayat Tahrir al-Sham) government in Damascus reported that six soldiers were killed in an Israeli airstrike near the capital Damascus on Tuesday.
The attack took place in the Kesweh area west of Damascus. A Syrian Defense Ministry official stated that at least three soldiers were killed in the 44th Division building, which was targeted by a drone.
On the other hand, the SANA news agency reported a civilian was killed in an Israeli attack on the village of Tarnaja in the Golan Heights. The interim government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack.
Although Israel is technically at war with Syria, it has recently initiated dialogue with the new Damascus authorities through the United States, while also conducting operations targeting weapons depots across the country.
