Syrian Transitional Government forces attacked the villages of Majdal and Ariqa, west of Suwayda, today.
According to local sources, government forces bombed both villages with RPGs from their positions in the village of Mazra.
No information was immediately available on the outcome of the attacks.
Attacks in the region have been on the rise in recent days. Yesterday, government forces violated the ceasefire and targeted the villages of Samid and Xarsa with heavy bombardment.
Meanwhile, on the evening of August 17, artillery fire from the village of Dama, northwest of the city, targeted civilian homes in the villages of Ariqa and Xarsa, west of Suwayda.
