According to SANA, the news agency linked to the interim government in Damascus, a car bomb exploded in the Syrian capital on Saturday evening. The blast occurred in the Mazzeh district, described as an affluent area that houses several embassies and United Nations offices.
The state television said the explosion was caused by an “explosive device placed inside an old vehicle” and confirmed there were no injuries.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) also confirmed that the car exploded near a hotel.
