In the early hours of the morning, thousands from different parts of the Canton of Cizîre went to Dêrik Watani Hospital to receive the remains of Commander Nûreddîn Sofî, one of the pioneers of the Northern and Eastern Syria Revolution.
Along the route, the convoy will be welcomed by locals in Girkê Legê, Chilaxa, and Tirbespiyê.
A ceremony will be held at 17:00 at the 12 March Martyrs Stadium, for the commander. After the ceremony, Commander Nûredîn Sofî will be laid to rest in the Martyr Delil Saruxan Cemetery.
On 11 August 2025, the HPG announced that Sofî, who joined the freedom struggle in 1990 and became one of the pioneers of the Rojava Revolution in 2013, had fallen a martyr on 6 April 2021.
