At the Conference on ‘Unified Stance of North-East Syria’s Components’, Arab, Kurdish, Turkmen, Syriac, Assyrian, Armenian, and Yazidi representatives united around the goal of a democratic, multicultural, and decentralized Syria.
The conference, attended by approximately 500 political, military, security, and community representatives, continued with messages from various participants.
Mar Maurice Amsih, Bishop of Cizire and the Euphrates, commemorated the martyrs and said, “We will build a new Syria through our unity,” highlighting the role of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in this process.
Yazidi representative Hediye Şemo said, “No one can destroy our unity. Together, we will build a country that guarantees the rights of all Syrians and women.”
Syriac-Assyrian representative Sîham Qeryo emphasized that they are partners in a multicultural and democratic structure: “We are playing an important role in the construction of a democratic structure that respects cultural, religious, and social diversity.”
Antraniyê Sakesniyan from the Armenian Platform said, “Living together is not a coincidence, it is a way of life. Everyone should draw inspiration from the experience of autonomous administration.”
Ziyab El Cîlat, speaking on behalf of the Arab Platform, called for a common stance based on peace and justice, saying, “We are working hard for joint integration with government institutions. We celebrate this conference and wish peace for all of Syria.”
Turkmen representative Mihemed El Hemdan highlighted the importance of brotherhood and solidarity, stating, “As components of North and East Syria, we emphasize that we are united in building a shared country.”
Şêx Murşid Maşûq El Xeznewî, representing the Kurdish component, said, “Living together is not a slogan for us; it is the solution itself. Our demand is for a Syria that is democratic, decentralized, provides honor and justice to all peoples, and recognizes the constitutional rights of all components.”
Xeznewî stated that they are not pro-war, but that they will resist for honor and freedom.
