Spokesperson for Iraq’s Independent High Electoral Commission, Jumana Gelayi, made a statement regarding the alliances and political parties that have registered for the Iraqi parliamentary elections.
Gelayi stated that the Commission is continuing to monitor the candidate lists and that the process will be completed soon.
According to Gelayi, a total of 31 alliances and 39 political parties have officially registered so far for the parliamentary elections.
She also announced that the candidates and their lists will be made public during a ceremony scheduled for 9 August.
The Iraqi parliamentary elections are planned to take place on 11 November 2025.
