According to the statement, 20 people were executed last week in prisons in Eastern Kurdistan and Iran.

The Campaign reported that a total of 1,477 people have been executed during Masoud Pezeshkian’s presidency so far.

The statement said that, on the orders of Hasan Qubadi, director of Qezel-Hesar  Prison in Karaj, and his deputy, Ismail Ferec Nejad, more than 100 armed guards and intelligence officers raided the cells of political prisoners and placed four prisoners in solitary confinement last week.

According to the statement, political prisoners in Qarchak and Greater Tehran prisons staged protests last week against the death sentence handed down to Yakup Direkshan on charges of ‘propaganda against the state.’
