According to a report by the Mezopotamya Agency, Veysi Aktaş, who was imprisoned in the F-type high-security İmralı prison, has been released after serving 31 years and 3 months of his sentence.
Aktaş legally completed his 30-year sentence on April 28, 2024. However, his release was postponed for one year by a decision of the Prison Administration and Monitoring Board. After that one-year delay, his release was postponed for another three months.
Today, after a total of 31 years and 3 months, Aktaş has finally been released from İmralı prison.
