French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot met with the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazlum Abdi.
The meeting took place after Barrot had discussions with the Foreign Minister of the Syrian Interim Government and the U.S. Special Envoy for Syria.
A statement from the French Foreign Ministry noted that the meeting occurred within the framework of ongoing talks between representatives of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Interim Government.
The statement also mentioned that the two sides would discuss how the March 10 Agreement would be implemented under the supervision of France and the United States.
Barrot emphasized that his country supports a political solution in Syria that will lead to the establishment of a united Syria and ensure the participation of the people of North and East Syria. He also stressed the importance of protecting the rights of the Kurds.
