Parliamentary commission on the “peace process” to consist of 51 members

Within the framework of the Peace and Democratic Society Process, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş sent a letter to political party groups regarding the content of the parliamentary commission to be established. According to the letter, the 51-member commission to be established in Parliament will include 21 members from the AKP, 10 from the CHP, 4 from the DEM Party, 4 from the MHP, 3 from the İYİ Party, and 3 from the Yeni Yol Party.

HÜDA PAR, New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah), Workers’ Party of Turkey (TİP), Labor Party (EMEP), Democratic Left Party (DSP), and Democratic Party (DP), which do not have a group in the Parliament, will also participate in the commission with one deputy each.

The parties will submit the names of their members for the commission to the Speaker of Parliament by July 31 at the latest.

Meanwhile, the İYİ Party had previously announced that it would not appoint any members to the commission, which is therefore expected to consist of 48 members.
