Manbij Military Council: We will protect our city

The Manbij Military Council issued a statement to the people of the city that has been under attack for several days. The statement said: “The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have intensified their attacks on our regions and cities. Over the past four days, these attacks have escalated significantly, with mercenaries launching large-scale attacks using substantial numbers and advanced weaponry, including UAVs provided by the Turkish occupation state. More than ten Akinji UAVs have actively participated in these attacks, which are being led and directed by Turkish military commanders.”

The statement added: “Four days ago, the fighters of the Manbij Military Council successfully repelled the brutal attacks of the Turkish occupation state’s mercenaries, dealing strong blows to them.

In response to these large-scale attacks, our forces have transitioned to the second phase of our defense strategy against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. We will employ diverse tactics and methods to disorient the enemy and make him ultimately regret initiating these attacks on our territories.”

The statement continued: “We, the forces of Manbij Military Council, are determined to hold the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries accountable for their actions against the city of Manbij. These savage mercenaries and thieves, incapable of confronting our forces directly, resort to targeting civilians, including women and children. We will ensure that they are held accountable for their heinous crimes. We pledge to protect our beautiful city and its surrounding areas from these brutal mercenaries and the Turkish occupation.”
