ISIG: at least 164 workers lost their lives in work-related accidents in November
The Health and Safety Labor Observatory (ISIG) released a report on work-related accidents in November. According to it, at least 164 workers lost their lives in November and 1,708 in the first 10 months of the year.
In November 164 workers, including 10 women, 7 children and 9 refugees, lost their lives in work-related accidents. 42 people were working in agriculture and forestry, 20 in transportation and 23 each in trade and accommodation.
According to the report, 21 percent of the deaths were due to traffic accidents, 20 percent to falls from heights and 15 percent to crushing. 21 of the workers lost their lives in Istanbul, 6 in Muğla, 9 in Antalya, 6 in Urfaa, 9 in Konya and 5 in Adana.
