March in Bern protests attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria
A march was held in the Swiss capital Bern under the leadership of revolutionary youth organizations against the invasion attacks by the Turkish state and the gangs it supports in Northern and Eastern Syria.
The Kurdish people and Turkish and Swiss revolutionary youth groups, who came together at Bahnhofplatz, made statements before the march.
They said: “In the midst of the war waged by imperialist and reactionary regional powers against the peoples of the Middle East, Turkey is taking advantage of this situation and carrying out one of the biggest attacks on Rojava and Syria since 2019.”
The statement underlined that the Turkish state, which aims to be the sole hegemonic power in the region, wants to destroy the revolutionary project in Rojava and further destabilize Syria.
The statement made on behalf of the Internationalist Revolutionary Bloc, stated that they created the Rojava Revolution together, and added: “We will defend the Rojava Revolution that we created together, together with the Kurdish people, no matter what the cost.”
PYD Switzerland Women’s Assembly Spokesperson Gulistan Sadon also called for continued internationalist solidarity after referring to the report published by the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria about the attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure by gangs under the guidance of the Turkish state.
The march ended at Reithalle Square, after a call to participate in the marches to be held today in Basel and Geneva against the occupation attacks.
