Jineoloji meetings in southern France

In the town of Le Vigan and the city of Montpellier in Southern France, the Jineoloji Committee organised promotional events on Jineoloji (Women’s Science).

Academics, teachers, farmers, activists and municipal workers from the South of France, Latin America, North Africa, Galicia, the UK and Kurdistan participated in the event in Le Vigan.

Members of the Jineoloji Network made a broad presentation on the basis of Jineology, which was promoted by the Kurdish Women’s Movement at the suggestion of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and which today influences the world. The men attending the event listened with interest to the presentations on women’s liberation and the change and transformation of the male mentality.

In addition, the global dimensions of the international campaign ‘Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a Political Solution to the Kurdish Question’ carried out in France were conveyed in a theoretical and practical framework.

In Montpellier, a meeting on Jineoloji studies was held with the participation of women’s communes. In the meeting, a comprehensive presentation was made on Jineoloji, which is the power of women’s consciousness and organisation. Afterwards, joint analyses were made on the situation of women in Europe, sexism, gender consciousness and struggle.
