Young kolbar killed without warning by Iran border forces in Marivan

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported that border guards opened fire at close range and without warning on a group of kolbars near the village of Askol in Marivan, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old kolbar.

The slain kolbar, Asaad Afranjah, from the village of Sianav in Marivan, was the father of a child.

According to KHRN statistics, four other kolbars – Ayoub Mohammadi, Kiyan Zeyni, Ehsan Nowruzi and Nazem Safari – were also killed by border guards in July in the border areas of Nowsud in Kermanshah Province, Sardasht in West Azerbaijan Province and Marivan in Kurdistan Province.
