7 people taken into custody in Dicle for dancing halay to Kurdish songs

Turkish soldiers raided many houses in the Dicle (Piran) district in the morning hours.

At least 7 people were taken into custody on the grounds that they were dancing halay to Kurdish songs and were taken to the District Police Department.

In recent weeks, dozens of people have been arrested on the grounds that they were singing Kurdish songs or dancing halay. In addition, traffic signs written in Kurdish on the roads for pedestrians in many cities were targeted by the state and written over.
