Global week of events: Dialogues with Öcalan in Edinburgh

The Global week of events: Dialogues with Öcalan continues in Edinburgh on 23 June at 12pm. A talk by Nik Matheou, historian and lecturer at Edinburgh University, will weave together Öcalan’s ideas in narrative and history, state civilisation, and the resistance to the forces of patriarchy, the state and capitalism over millennia, with analyses of the resistance histories in Scotland and the relationship with state forces in these territories and elsewhere.

The talk will also discuss how this relates to the current moment and our organising now. Time will be dedicated to discussion. The talk will be in English.

Translation will be available in a combination of Sorani, Kurmancî and/or Turkish.
